Gala Orthopaedic Clinic

Pivot North was selected to provide planning and architectural design services to renovate an existing occupied medical office building from a dental clinic to its new life as an orthopaedic surgeon’s clinic. The renovation involved demolition to the exterior studs and assessing patient and staff flow for improved clinical efficiency and patient comfort. The clinic is zoned for shared occupancy by two independent providers, but flexible to allow sharing of exam rooms on busy clinic days.

The 4,000 square foot project incorporates nine expanded exam rooms, x-ray, procedure room, staff break room, shared staff workroom, two provider offices, and expanded reception. Interior finishes include locally-sourced recycled wood cladding, industrial steel accents, backlit feature signs, and a natural color palette.
