Garden City Mixed-Use

Mixed-Use Concept Design | 21,300 SF Commercial + 27 Residential Units | 70,000+ SF | Garden City, ID

Garden City Mixed-Use explored the potential for a compact commercial and residential development within one of Garden City’s evolving urban corridors. The concept studied how neighborhood-serving commercial space, residential density, and shared outdoor areas could be organized to create a more active and walkable mixed-use environment.

The design included approximately 21,300 SF of commercial space in multiple buildings and more than 50,000 SF of residential area within 27 units. Commercial and residential uses were arranged to support street-level activity, resident interaction, and stronger connections between buildings, open space, and the surrounding neighborhood.

The project reflects a design approach focused on density, flexibility, and community-oriented development, demonstrating how mixed-use planning can support a more connected urban fabric while balancing commercial activity with residential livability.
