Meridian Fire Station 7

Working with the City of Meridian and the Meridian Fire Department, Pivot North and Rice Fergus Miller have provided master programming services and design services for Meridian Fire Stations 7. This facility is designed to serve the current and future needs of the company as well as improve response times to the East and West Meridian communities.

The Station is 11,560 sf and each features three apparatus bays, a work room, day room, kitchen, fitness space, and six sleep rooms. With consideration of the use of the space, it is important to implement design elements that improve the overall health and wellness of the company. This means reducing carcinogen exposure through space organization, strategic ventilation, designated gear decontamination stations, and flooring systems that reduce the transfer of contaminants carried in by gear and boots.
