Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse

This one-of-a-kind facility nestled in Boise’s Barber Valley will serve as a headquarters, training facility and service hub for post 9/11 military, adaptive athletes and their families.

The design concept was inspired by the environment in which this project is located. Building forms are representative of the natural forms seen in the native Idaho landscape. With a strong connection to the outdoors, this project provides an experience for those who utilize this facility that is deeply rooted in nature. 

 The material palette is simple but bold, echoing the strength of the athletes. The spaces that surround these buildings seamlessly blend the experience from exterior to interior, facilitating connections between fellow athletes and helping to strengthen and support their feeling of community.
