James A. McClure Federal Building Entry
Following the events of 9/11, the federal government placed renewed focus on the safety and security of the nation’s interests around the world. Many buildings in the federal inventory required upgrades to meet new standards. In Boise, the McClure Federal Building required the addition of a new larger lobby to facilitate screening activities. In addition, the new entry provides visitors with a memorable sense of arrival complementary to the existing international style of the original 1960s building.
