2024 IIDA Leadership Award
Let’s give a round of applause to Mae Myers, our Interior Design Studio Lead, who was recently awarded the 2024 Leadership Award in the IIDA Northwest Pacific chapter for her outstanding work in the advocacy field!
Currently, interior design is not recognized as a regulated profession in the state of Idaho, although it is regulated in 39 out of 50 states in the US. Interior design regulation at the state level helps establish and maintain professional standards that protect the health, safety, and welfare of the general public. As the IIDA Director of Advocacy for Idaho, Mae is helping make significant strides in introducing a bill to help interior designers who have completed the necessary education, experience, and examination to have the option to become “registered” interior designers — similar to registered architects or engineers in Idaho. Efforts to pass legislation for Interior Designers in Idaho will continue throughout the next couple of years, stay tuned for future advancements and updates!
We commend Mae for her efforts toward achieving recognition for interior design legislation and are incredibly proud to have her as part of our team!
